MERRILL MAGNER Tax Teacher is designed to both help young professionals, teens, and students with their taxes, as well as teach them how to be self-sufficient about their tax preparation in the future.

Many young people are self-employed, perhaps working as consultants/contractors, or in other sole-proprietor businesses, and are unaware of how to prepare their own taxes or keep their own records. I plan to:

• offer tax preparation services and tax teaching, especially in the area of keeping records for small businesses

• assist families in the preparation of their taxes and FAFSA Financial Aid application

I also seek to help those who are behind on their taxes, as well as parents who are tired of doing their adult children’s taxes! I hope to fill the gap by teaching people to keep their own income/expense records, prepare their own taxes (using tax software), and become more independent from their parents. I am available to teach in a class setting or offer individual consulting services.
